The digital images of music manuscripts in this collection were photographed in situ from the collections of the Moravian Churches in Nain, Hopedale, and Makkovik between 2003 and 2014. The majority of Makkovik manuscripts were transferred from Hebron in 1959. This digitization project was undertaken with the knowledge and permission of the Elders, organists, and choir members of the respective churches for the purpose of research and preservation.

The majority of audio files were copied with permission from the archives of the OKâlaKatiget Society Broadcaster, Nain, Labrador in 2014. Other recordings are drawn from the Hettasch Family Collection and the James A. Andersen Collection (Memorial University Archives and Special Collections). Other sources, when applicable, are indicated.
